The Warrior Challenge Course is NOW OPEN!
We headed north to check out this exciting new ninja-style obstacle course! My kids couldn’t wait to test their skills. We didn’t stay long as it was very hot and humid.
The actual ninja course doesn’t have any shade.
There is a special obstacle course for little ones–ages 2-5.

Locust Shade Park, 4701 Locust Shade Drive, Triangle, VA 22172 (~23 mi/36+ min. from Fredericksburg)
10 am – dusk

The ninja course is next to the tennis courts. Take the 2nd left after entering the park.

Located near the Marine Corps Museum
The park has other amenities–8 pavilions (available to rent), playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, 3.2 miles of scenic nature trails, a 15-station fitness trail, batting Cages, a driving range, an 18-hole miniature golf course, fishing in an eight-acre pond and an amphitheater.

The parking lot near the ninja course only has 9 regular parking spots and 3 handicapped.
The parking lot at the next stop is larger. You can easily walk to the ninja park from here. There’s also a water bottle filling station near this lot. The entrance to the fitness trail is also here.
