Pony Rides & Farm Visits

“We are a small inclusive hobby farm dedicated to educating and sharing the love of our farm animals with our community. We have 4 pot belly pigs, a pony, a mini pony and 2 farm dogs. We offer private tours to snuggle and feed our animals, ride the pony, learn beginner riding techniques, and education on feeding and caring for the animals.
“Our farm is committed to embracing people of all ages with physical or intellectual disabilities. This is a safe haven to be who you are without fear of judgement. Our animals cherish all our visitors and only see the love our visitors have to offer.”

Things to Know:
- All experiences are 50 min.
- 100% of money goes back into the farm for the animals’ care.
- Food is provided to give the animals, but you can also bring your own.
- All riders, especially small children are encouraged to bring their own helmet. The farm can provide helmets for older children as well. No child may ride without a helmet.
- They have a tree swing, secret hay loft, and picnic table.
- There is one porta-potty.
- They offer reasonably priced birthday parties and more!
Things to Bring:
- Bike helmet for riding especially if your child is young
- Water and snacks
- Snacks for the animals if you want. On one of our visits, we brought some tomatoes from our garden. The pigs really like apples and watermelon.
- Hand sanitizer and wipes–the kids’ hands were really dirty after our visit. It helped having Lysol wipes in our car to clean off all the dirt.
- Shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. It might even be smart to bring a second set of shoes to change into especially if you are heading somewhere else.

Our Experience:
In the past two weeks we’ve been able to visit Haven Hills Farm twice. The first time was for a Private Farm Tour. The second time was for their Pony Camp.
During the private tour, we were able to visit and feed the animals. We climbed up into the loft and helped throw down the hay. We had to search for manure for our poop chucking contest. The kids’ favorite part was their pony time. They loved walking Scootaloo and riding Angus.
The owner is so friendly and accommodating. We felt right at home.

The kids had so much fun doing all things pony during the Pony Camp. They attended Pony Camp for one day. The camp was an hour and a half. They enjoyed learning proper tacking, horse care, and riding techniques. Their favorite part was getting to ride Angus out in the field.
