  • Home Depot offers FREE in-store children’s workshops the first Saturday of the month from 9 am – Noon while supplies last. Pre-registration is offered but not required. Paint is also provided if your children want to paint.
  • Lowe’s offers FREE in-store children’s workshops each month (dates vary), but you MUST pre-register for these. There is no painting involved.
  • JcPenney’s Kids Zone offers FREE crafts the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 am – Noon.
  • Micahels offers FREE Craft Sunday Make Break Events. These in-store events happen between 2-4 pm. Check their schedule as they do offer some Saturday events.
  • Free books for children (12 and under) at a Rappahannock Goodwill location. Every child aged 12 and under gets any book of their choosing for FREE! Valid every Friday starting 9/6/24. Find a Goodwill near you at http://www.fredgoodwill.org

Christmas Tales at Bass Pro Shops: Free story time with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Christmas Tales takes place Tuesdays at 5 pm, Nov 5th – Dec 17th. Reservations required. Photo ops available as well.

Homeschool Weeks are being offered at the LEGO Discovery Center in Springfield. Available Nov. 4-22, 2024. Monday – Friday visits only. $12/pp

Window Wonderland in Fredericksburg runs Nov. 9 – Dec. 31, 2024. Pick up a scavenger hunt at the new visitor center or print one from home.

The Santa Trolley in Fredericksburg will be running select times on Dec 12-13 and Dec 18-21, 2024. Enjoy a 30-minute ride with Santa and songs. Then meet with Santa for photos. Tours depart the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. $15 adults (16+), $10 children (2-15), children younger than two ride free but may need to sit on a parent’s lap

Santa’s Mailbox

Santa’s Mailbox will be downtown Fredericksburg (Nov. 29-Dec. 20, 2024) on the corner of George Street and Caroline Street in front of the Fort-to-Go Store. Compliments of the Fredericksburg Rappahannock Rotary Club. All letters with a Return Address will be addressed directly from the North Pole.
