  • JcPenney’s Kids Zone offers FREE crafts the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 am – Noon.
  • Micahels offers FREE Craft Sunday Make Break Events. These in-store events happen between 2-4 pm. Check their schedule as they do offer some Saturday events.

Holiday Walk of Lights will be happening at Neabsco Regional Park in Prince William County. This event will run Dec. 4 – Dec. 28, 2025.

Sensory Friendly Night on Dec. 9, 5-8 pm

Festival of Lights at the Washington DC Temple will be happening Dec. 4, 2025 – Jan. 1, 2026. 💡 Lights on nightly: 4:30–8:45 pm 🏛️ Visitors’ Center: Open daily 10 am–9 pm. Parking passes are free but required.

Dec. 6 and 7, 2025: Holiday Train Experience inside the historic caboose in front of the Culpeper Museum. Hot cocoa, music, and a personalized commemorative travel mug. Tickets are $15/per child. Adults can purchase a cup of hot cocoa in a travel mug for $5.

Santa Train will happen on Dec. 13, 2025, at different VRE locations. The cost is $5/pp in person or $6/pp online. In-person tickets go on sale Dec. 1, 2025, from 10 am – Noon. Online tickets will be available starting Dec. 2, 2025, at 10 am through Eventbrite.

NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCES

Academy of Ballet and The Fredericksburg City Ballet Company will present The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6 pm and Sunday, December 7 at 2 pm at James Monroe High School. Pre-sale tickets are $20 and tickets at the door are $25.
