The “Passport to Family Wellness” is a program that Wegmans created in partnership
with many of its location communities to encourage healthy lifestyles. This program encourages use of community trails where users can receive various prizes for completing tasks. It’s free and easy – just download and print the free pocket-sized passport today!
- Visit one of the 7 trails listed.
- Find the Wegman’s Passport to Family Wellness trail marker.
- Use a pen or crayon to make a rubbing of the marker.
- Bring completed guide to the Dorothy Hart Community Center (408 Canal St.) for a $2 Wegmans produce coupon. The first 500 participants to reach this level will also receive a Fredericksburg Timeless water bottle. You will also be entered in a drawing for the annual Grand Prize: a $100 Wegmans gift card and free picnic shelter rental at Old Mill Park.
We decided to visit Smith Run Trail to get started on our passports. This trail is located behind Hugh Mercer Elementary School near the Fredericksburg Police Station. We could not find the Wegmans Passport to Family Wellness trail marker anywhere. We searched high and low and ended up making a marking of the placard placed along the trail to memorialize the battles of Smith Run. This placard was at the end of the trail near Cowan’s Boulevard.
We’d love to hear if you find the passport trail marker.
