🛷Longest sled run on the East Coast — 1/4 mile long

🛷Season Dates: December 22, 2022 to March 5, 2023 (Closing date subject to weather)

🛷Children 8 & younger must ride with an adult
❌Pets are not allowed on the sled hill

🛷Tickets are valid for one two-hour session. The sled run closes for one hour between each session.

💲Tickets cost $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends and holidays. Children under 5 ride free with an adult.

🛷Session times: 10 am-12pm, 1-3 pm, 4-6 pm
7 – 9 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays
7 – 9 p.m. Holiday Sundays (Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day)

🛷Arrive 20 min. early for a safety briefing. Our safety briefing started 10 minutes before our session.

🛷Reservations must be made online. They may have some same day tickets but those are not guaranteed. Head to the hut to pick up your ski lift tag. When we were there, we did not have to show a printed ticket from our internet order but just mentioned our name. There was a record of how many tickets we ordered. We were given ski lift tags for each ordered ticket. These were easy to apply to a jacket zipper and had to be visible to ride the lift.

🛷Ride the “magic carpet” to the top of the hill.
🛷Conveyor belt that takes riders to the top of the hill
🛷Ride to the top of the hill right in your sled
🛷About a 5-6 min. scenic ride through the trees

🛷Sled speeds are about 30 mph
🛷Unlike tubing, you control the sled

🛷There is a small hut with bathrooms, snack bar & gift shop. There were two large bathrooms my kids used to change their clothes in after sledding.
🛷They sell pizza, hamburger, hot dogs, hot chocolate & s’mores kits.
🛷You can watch from inside the hut or sit outside by the fire.

🛷Unfortunately, because of the unseasonably warm weather, the park had not had any snow and had to make their own. (We were there on 12/28/2021.)
🛷The kids still had a blast and were so sad when their 2-hour session was up.

🛷Bring your own snacks. We headed to West Virginia early to stop for lunch in Davis, WV–It has the highest elevation of any town in West Virginia. There’s really not much there. We had lunch at Big Belly Deli. The sandwiches were pricey and not that great. The menu said each sandwich came with a cowboy cookie. Instead, we got tiny brownies about an inch square.
