State Climb in Culpeper offers a Teen Night every 3rd Saturday from 8-10 pm. This event is $5/members and $10/non-members. Rock Climbing and Aerial Silks. Pay-What-You-Like climb is only on Fridays.

  • Home Depot offers FREE in-store children’s workshops the first Saturday of the month from 9 am – Noon while supplies last. Pre-registration is offered but not required. Paint is also provided if your children want to paint.
  • Lowe’s offers FREE in-store children’s workshops each month (dates vary), but you MUST pre-register for these. There is no painting involved.
  • JcPenney’s Kids Zone offers FREE crafts the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 am – Noon.
  • Micahels offers FREE Craft Sunday Make Break Events. These in-store events happen between 2-4 pm. Check their schedule as they do offer some Saturday events.

SUMMER MOVIES

The EVO Kidflix Summer Movie Series has 10 fun-filled weeks of $1 family films. There’s a different film each week, with showtimes at 10 am EVERY DAY. The summer series will run June 7 – August 15, 2024.

Summer Movies are FREE at Marquee Cinemas every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30 am. There are 2 movies to choose from each day. The free movies start June 4 and end July 24. THIS MOVIE THEATRE IS NOW CLOSED.

Regal’s Summer Movie Express will run June 11- August 7 on Tues and Wed at 11 am. All movies are $1. Snack packs are only $5. If you join Regal’s Crown Club (FREE), you can get 50% off of popcorn every Tuesday.

The Library of Congress Packard Campus Theater in Culpeper has free movies on Fridays and Saturdays. Make sure to check their online schedule.

Ashland Theatre has $2 movies on Mondays at 10 am or 2 pm starting June 10 through Aug. 12, 2024.

SPECIAL AUGUST ACTIVITIES

Around the Town Trolley runs Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-8:30 pm, May 31-Aug. 31

Faded and Co. is offering FREE Haircuts in the Library the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 10 am – 1 pm starting June 3, 2024.

Market Sprouts: June 1-Aug. 3 — Join the Fredericksburg Farmers Market on Saturdays and explore fruits, vegetables, and more with fun weekly activities.

PoP Club is offered at the Spotsylvania County Farmers Market’s Wednesday Market, Weekly through August 28, while schools are on summer break. Kids of all ages are welcome but it is geared for ages 3-10. Each child that participates gets $2 in market tokens.

The Science Museum of Virginia is offering extended evening hours every Friday from 5-8 pm to allow guests more time to explore BODY WORLDS: The Anatomy of Happiness. Evening admission is just $10/pp.

The Salem Church Library has Summer Movie Matinees on Thursdays (June 6- Aug 8, except 7/4) from 2-4 pm. Follow the link for a list of movies.
