- Home Depot offers FREE in-store children’s workshops the first Saturday of the month from 9 am – Noon while supplies last. Pre-registration is offered but not required. Paint is also provided if your children want to paint.
- Lowe’s offers FREE in-store children’s workshops each month (dates vary), but you MUST pre-register for these. There is no painting involved.
- JcPenney’s Kids Zone offers FREE crafts the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 am – Noon.
- Micahels offers FREE Craft Sunday Make Break Events. These in-store events happen between 2-4 pm. Check their schedule as they do offer some Saturday events.

HOME SCHOOL DEALS
Cavalier Family Skating Center in Staffford offers Home School Skate on Tuesdays from 1-4 pm: $5 admission | $4 skate rental
Chuck E. Cheese’s Home School Days will start back up on September 10, 2024. Unfortunately, the deal for this school year does not include pizza. The cost has also gone up $1. The new deal will be $11.99/child for 90 minutes and soft drinks.
SEPTEMBER ACTIVITIES and FAIRS
Find FXBG is live. Pick up your form at the Visitor Center or print it out from the website. The contest runs from August 31 – October 20, 2024.
The State Fair of Virginia starts on September 27 and runs through Oct. 6, 2024. Gate admission is only $9 on 9/27 and 9/30-10/4. Enter the fair between 10 am and 1 pm on these days and donate 2 school supplies, 2 canned food items, or a pair of new winter gloves and gate admission is only $9! If you purchase a Midway Wristband on these days, you can ride until 4 pm for only $20!
