Lowe’s offers FREE in-store children’s workshops each month (dates vary), but you MUST pre-register for these. There is no painting involved.
Home Depot offers FREE in-store children’s workshops the first Saturday of the month from 9 am – Noon while supplies last. Pre-registration is offered but not required. Paint is also provided if your children want to paint.
JcPenney’s Kids Zone offers FREE crafts the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 am – Noon.
Micahels offers FREE Craft Sunday Make Break Events. These in-store events happen between 2-4 pm. Check their schedule as they do offer some Saturday events.
Free books for children (12 and under) at a Rappahannock Goodwill location. Every child aged 12 and under gets any book of their choosing for FREE! Valid every Friday starting 9/6/24. Find a Goodwill near you at http://www.fredgoodwill.org

Home School Deals

State Climb in Culpeper is offering Homeschool Hangout on Mondays from 3-4:30 pm. $10 per visit. Now RSVP is needed. Just show up. Runs Jan – May.
Beginning January 9, 2025, PlayDate Culpeper will be open for homeschoolers form 2-3 pm on Thursdays. After the home school hour ends, you can stay and use the museum from 3-6 pm at no additional charge.

Urban Air has Home School Day the third Tuesday of every month: 10am-2pm. For just $20.99, you’ll get a Platinum pass, socks, 2 slices of pizza, and a bottle of water. Members are free!
Monster Mini Golf in Stafford offers Home School Day the first Wednesday of every month. For $10.99, students will get 90 minutes of arcade play, unlimited rounds of golf, and 300 tickets. This deal is good from 10 am – 4 pm
The 2nd Tuesday of the month, Chuck E. Cheese offers a Homeschool Tuesday
Open – 4 pm, 90-minutes of gameplay, soft drinks & E-Tickets for just $11.99
Lake Anna State Park offers a series of Homeschool Adventures classes. These are held one day per month from 10 am – 1 pm and are for students ages 8-12. There is a $5/class.

February Events

Seussical Jr. will be Riverside Center for the Performing Arts: February 4 – March 1, 2025. The performances will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. February 15 is a special sensory friendly performance.

The Hunt for Washington sponsored by Lafayette College takes families and individuals to places in Old Town Alexandria associated with George Washington.
