Machicomoco State Park

Motts Run Reservoir

This 80-acre park was opened in 1974, three years after the completion of the reservoir, and since that time it has seen many changes. In 2000, a water treatment facility was completed near the dam to serve the City of Fredericksburg and parts of Spotsylvania County. Lake Mooney
